After studying at many language schools in Italy I found the best one of all right here in Brussels. With a small staff of dedicated and enthusiastic native speakers, the school offers a rich variety of programs from beginners to advanced. Not only grammar and vocabulary, but culture, history and even cooking lessons. Flexibility is the keyword plus a student-friendly pricing system which allows you to pay only for the classes you attend.

Très chouette école pour apprendre l'italien, les profs sont très sympas. Le contenu est intéressant et varié (Lecture, compréhension à l'audition, exercices de grammaire). Différentes formules possibles pour tous niveaux. Dans mon cas, 15 cours d'une heure et demie et on y parle italien tout le temps. Petites classes, parfait pour progresser. D'autres activités sont possibles en dehors des cours (voir site).

Italia per Passione by name, Italia per Passione by nature. For me, 'old school' language schools where there are 20/25 students and the teacher does most of the talking are increasingly a thing of the past. I found this school 10 or more years ago and it offers what I was looking for - speaking a lot in Italian, exchanging views/ideas with teachers and students, learning about Italian culture and flexibility (Chiara even set up a course for me specifically about Greek mythology - it was great and very challenging for my Italian and for my knowledge of Greek mythology!). The present/future in language learning is about teaching interesting subjects so that students practically 'forget' they are speaking Italian. This is the magic trick that Italia per Passione pulls off! So I would give it a very strong recommendation. You can either follow a whole course or you can pay for a card allowing you to dip into different lessons as and when you like - cinema, literature, history, you name it, Chiara and her team offer it. Forza Italia per Passione!
